Paulina Sokołowska

Paulina Sokołowska is one of the most outstanding violinist of the Polish young generation. She graduated with a distinction from the F. Chopin Academy of Music of Warsaw, the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels and Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth, taught by the famous professors: Krzysztof Jakowicz, Tadeusz Gadzina, Adam Korniszewski. Igor Oistrakh and Michael Kugel. She performed at the “Warsaw Autumn” (one of the most prestigious contemporary music festivals), “The Warsaw Music Meetings”, “The Strings Virtuosi" in Zielona Góra, “Académie de Musique de Lausanne”. She was a student of "The Music Session" in Lausanne and Salzburg (2006) and Queen Elisabeth College (2008/09 in Belgium. Performed as a soloist in many countries (Poland, Italy, Germany, Holland, France, United Kingdom, Austria, Switzerland, Luxemburg and Belgium), also with renowned orchestras: the Warsaw Symphony Orchestra, Chopin Symphonic and Chamber Orchestra, Vivaldi Chamber Ensemble and Polish radio Orchestra, lead by the most outstanding Polish conductors: Marcin Nałęcz Niesiołowski, Szymon Kawalla, Ryszard Zimak and Piotr Raichert. Concerts with her participation were recorded for the Polish Radio and TV. She has also successfully recorded for Sony BMG Music Poland (Golden Record). She was awarded at the many prestigious international competitions, among others: Br. Huberman Warsaw Competition (2000), received Bronze medal from the Polish Club - the prize for outstanding achievements in music (2003),2nd prize at the Chamber Music Competition in Brussels (2005), Scholarship from the Polish Ministry of Art and the national Heritage (2006), Special prize at the International Rotary Competition in Gent (2006), the 1st prize as a soloist as well as a member of the chamber music group at the 19th Young Musician International Competition in Barletta (2009).
