Olga Boznańska’s relationship with music goes deeper than only into her audience’s world of imagination. The music has been in her home since childhood and works of Fryderyk Chopin was a favourite repertoire of this outstanding painter. In the interview with Marcin Samlicki in 1925 Boznańska mentions about her favourite “Rain prelude”. From preserved sources, we also know that Rubinstein himself played in her house and she was also attending Ignacy Jan Paderewski concerts.
In compilation Fryderyk Chopin (performed by Piotr Anderszewski) and Ignacy Jan Paderewski (interpreted by Katarzyna Borek)compositions were set. The album presents recordings of one of the most outstanding Polish pianists – Piotr Anderszewski and Katarzyna Borek who are famous and beloved by music lovers. In his performance, we hear among others Mazurka in C-sharp minor Op. 63 No. 3, Mazurka in F minor Op. 63 No. 2, Ballade in F minor Op. 52 or Polonaise In F-sharp Minor Op. 44. An interesting supplement to the repertoire are rarely performed miniature masterpieces of Ignacy Jan Paderewski (known pianist, composer and outstanding politician fighting for the Polish independence) coming from the well-received record of Katarzyna Borek.
