The spectacle is a story about an average family who can live anywhere and exist in every time. May be a Polish, Swedish or Chinese family. Can live behind a wall in our block of flats, in a beautiful villa with a swimming pool or it can be even known from the television. There is Mother, Father and son – Boj. A seemingly lovely family is carrying a deeply hidden problem – violence. What is happening at home is a mystery. It is forbidden to talk about it both at home and outside. Not to arouse suspicions mum wears pretty dresses. Boj has little knowledge about “the topic”. He is more silent and introverted than other children though. Both are prisoners of their own fear and lack of faith that something may change. A psychological look at domestic violence draws attention to the suffering and helplessness of the victim. It reveals internal and situational mechanisms that control violence and complex interaction processes between perpetrator and the victim. Conflict resolution is as simple as seemingly simple is this history. The spectacle is addressed to adolescents and adults as a specific instruction to the way of finding yourself in a situation without a way out. How to open the door when it is sometimes hard to find a key.
With the use of a simple and beautiful language of songs, we will tell the story in a different form than news from tabloids and media.
